Frome
V4F's Innovative Public Forum shows the way ahead for SMTF member organisations
Vision for Frome (V4F) held a Public Forum on November 25th, focussing on two key issues for the town.
This is a great example of Community Engagement, something all town organisations (whether Town Partnerships, Development Trusts or Town Councils) should be doing to keep in touch with local people's views, and positions V4F as an independent facilitator for issues like this.
Frome is the largest member town of SMTF (population 27,000), and is Somerset's 4th largest town. It had a large number of active groups in the town before the Community Plan came along, and a key role will be to improve liaison and coordination between these groups.
