Climate Action in Somerset - New Report
Somerset Wildlife Trust have just published a report based on recent interviews with community climate action groups across Somerset.
These include Forum 21, Sustainable Frome and Transition Glastonbury, a member of Somerset Market Towns Forum.
It follows on from a regional initiative led by Friends of the Earth last autumn. The questions in the SWT survey are designed to build on the findings and recommendations of the first and reveal more details about the issues, problems and opportunities currently facing local groups.
SWT will be sharing the findings of the report with the county and district councils and with parish councillors with a known interest in community climate change matters. They hope to develop some of the ideas and recommendations contained within the report with decision makers at a future date.
The report was undertaken by and paid for as part of a wider project supported right across the south west by the Co-operative Partnership.
