Businesses meet Transition Initiative

(South Petherton)

Last night, Breathe (South Petherton's Transition initiative) organised an event where local business people met to discuss what they can do to help the local economy and make the village more 'resiliant'.

A mix of traders and service-providers discussed issues ranging from climate change and peak oil to the effects of the credit crunch and 'shop local' ideas.

The group agreed to meet again, remain an informal grouping and look to promote the group with peers.

Breathe is planning a major event on August 31st this year, with talks, presentations and other activities planned up to then.
