10 Parishes Community Plan Review
(Wiveliscombe)
This Review was commissioned by the Wiveliscombe Area Partnership. Its intentions were to understand what the first Community Plan for the 10 Parishes' area has achieved and serve as a precursor to the preparation of a new Community Plan for the period 2008-13.
The report starts with an assessment of the impact of the "West Deane and Brendons Community Strategy and Action Plan 2003", then goes on to consider the current context in which the new Plan will be formulated and delivered, before making recommendations as to how the plan-making should proceed.
Other Towns should find this of interest; it's the first Review substantial review of a Community Plan in Somerset.
WAP have defined 5 themes and 3 cross-cutting themes and the objectives beneath these - download the objectives table below. They are now consulting with a large panel of organisations to start to develop project ideas that address these objectives.
The Objectives have been drawn up after wide consultation and with the Local Area Agreement very much in mind.
